Cryptologic Engagement Officer’s responsibilities include:
– Developing, nurturing, and/or negotiating relationships with the DoD, Intelligence Community, Industry and foreign partners.
– Operating in a collaborative and responsive environment, maximizing dynamic partner capabilities.
– Assessing stakeholder needs and identifying capabilities to address those needs.
– Providing timely and effective support and information sharing within appropriate legal authorities.
– Identifying the internal and external politics that impact the work of the organization and responding accordingly.
Cryptologic Engagement Officers engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver products; protect assets; make procurements; influence policy; protect, develop and acquire human resources; develop partnerships; and share and receive knowledge, as examples.

Degree in any area is acceptable.
Relevant experience must be in one of the following: (a) an area directly related to NSA mission (e.g., collection, intelligence, and cryptologic); (b) NSA/IC/DOD mission support; (c) NSA/IC/DOD inter-agency support, and/or d) NSA-relevant industry, academic, or governmental entities. External engagement/collaboration experience (e.g., participation in cross-Agency working groups, JDA, field assignment, external customer support) within the DoD or IC is preferred.
Entry is with a Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
Entry is with a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 8 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
Entry is with a Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience or an Associate’s degree plus 8 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
Entry is with a Bachelor’s degree plus 9 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 5 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 13 years of relevant experience or an Associate’s degree plus 11 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
Salary offers are based on candidates’ education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position.
Salary ranges vary by location and work level. This position is hiring for the Maryland and Colorado locations.
Salary Range: $60,331 – $176,300 (Entry, Full Performance, Senior, Expert)
Work Schedule: Typical work schedule is Monday – Friday, with basic 8 hour/day work requirements between 0600 and 1800 (flexible).
