Overview
The Buildings and Facilities Supervisor will perform maintenance, repair, modification, and installation services to buildings and facilities. The position supports operational and maintenance functions to ensure all are fully operational and maintained per program requirements. The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and coordinate the daily inspection, maintenance, and repair of buildings, facilities, and structures.
• Plan, schedule, and direct work and activities to conduct repairs, maintenance, and construction of facilities and buildings. Conduct work to minimize interruption to daily operations and improve efficiencies.
• Monitor, inspect, and supervise the work and performance of subordinate employees. Ensure that completed work meets safety, quality, and applicable code standards.
• Respond to emergency issues and failures – 24/7/365. Document and report deficiencies and faults.
• Provide information as necessary to ensure that all facility drawings and blueprints are documented and updated appropriately.
• Complete work orders as scheduled and ensure assigned work is completed in full.
• Ensure that all required trainings are completed.
• Provide reporting and data as required.
• Monitor inventories of parts and supplies to ensure that sufficient quantities are in stock. Submit order requests as needed, including requests for capital items.
• Observe and enforce applicable SOP’s, processes, quality, and safety standards.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. A Bachelors degree in Construction Management is desired.
Experience:
Four (4) years general construction, or, preventative maintenance related experience in operations and maintenance services.
Skills & Technology Used:
• Knowledge of construction, maintenance, and repair methods and processes.
• Familiar with applicable U.S. Codes and acceptable trade practices. Including but not limited to Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) standards, International Facility Management Association (IFMA), International Building Code (IBC), International Mechanical Code (IMC), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
• Versatile knowledge and skills in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, mechanical, and other trades areas.
• Ability to follow and complete work orders. Able to read and interpret building, facility, and equipment systems diagrams, blueprints, drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• General knowledge of industrial safety and environmental regulations.
• Good organizational and communication skills with the ability to exercise sound judgement and make independent decisions.
• Knowledge of principles and processes in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills, specifically, Excel and Word.
• Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.
• Ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must already possess a U.S. Government (USG) issued Secret security clearance or be able obtain a favorable USG Secret clearance prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required clearance level for the duration of the task order.

• Previous experience in an international environment with a multi-national workforce in harsh environmental conditions.
• Knowledge of all principles and processes involved in operations and maintenance functions supporting an overseas facility.
