Job Summary:

The Receiver Exciter and Back End Processing (REBEP) Department is the focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology in the Radar and Missile Defense division.  The department is responsible for the design, development, integration, support to production builds, and lifecycle support of RMD products.

We are currently seeking a Senior Receiver Exciter Integration and Test Engineer to join the Radar Receiver Exciter and Back End Processing Integrated Product Team. This team designs, develops, integrates, and tests the Radar Receiver Exciter hardware for the combat proven Radar and Missile Defense Systems.

Job Summary:

This position is for a multi-disciplined Senior Engineer, capable of solving complex technical problems and providing highly innovative and ingenious solutions in Radar and Receiver Exciter design, analysis, integration, and test. Receiver Exciter integration and test engineers are the liaisons between many Radar system components and are responsible for Radar Receiver Exciter data analysis and calibration, integration of hardware with firmware and software, and resolving system level issues that may stem from software or hardware anomalies.

This Radar Receiver Exciter Integration Engineer role can be based out of Massachusetts (Tewksbury or Marlborough) but will require a minimum one (1) year assignment at a different location, such as shipyard location, such as the Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Shipyard in Pascagoula Mississippi or at the Navy’s Land Based integration facility at Mount Laurel, NJ. The role will require extended hours and may require the employee to support off-shift hours.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Support system level radar integration planning, execution, and reporting

Resolve complex technical issues seen during design, integration, and test of Radar Receiver and Exciter sub-systems.

Analyze Radar and Receiver Exciter data to identify and resolve system performance issues.

Develop calibration solutions for receiver/exciters to meet top level radar performance specifications.

Work across mechanical, electrical, software and systems engineering disciplines to troubleshoot hardware and software issues outside of Receiver and Exciter Subsystems

Qualification You Must Have: 

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science or Arts in, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of relevant experience in computer or engineering OR a STEM Master’s and 3+ years of relevant experience.

Relevant experience includes Receiver Exciter subsystem engineering and/or System Integration, Verification and Validation experience for Department of Defense systems.

Experience with receiver exciter systems integration.

Experience with programming in MATLAB, C/C++, Python, or other programming language

Qualifications We Value:

Experience interfacing with internal and external customers, and finding technical solutions to complex requirements.

Experience analyzing and assessing large quantities of data.

Experience with DOORS or a related database

Experience in troubleshooting radar systems, root cause identification, corrective action implementation and associated documentation

Experience in radar receiver/exciter design

Experience with Digital Signal Processing techniques and FPGA implementation

Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems

*Temporary Domestic Off-Site Assignment (TDOA) Package Includes:

10% salary incentive paid in check biweekly

1 trip home every 30 days (if program allows, time approved by manager)

Up to $250 home maintenance fee for perm residence per month (receipts required)

**Points of Clarification:

Lodging is expensed on an Expense Report at Actuals.

Meals are paid in your bi-weekly paycheck in full per diem rate. No receipts needed or expense report.

Other expense clarifications may be defined on a case-by-case scenario.
