Job Summary:
The Raytheon Missiles & Defense Software Products Engineering (SPE) is the central focus for real-time software development, integration, test and validation.
The Fort Wayne, IN software organization provides largescale software & systems design and development specializing in command and control. We support the Zumwalt Class Destroyer, Patriot Missile System, AN/TPY-2 Radar System, and various other projects.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Employ an Agile Scrum process to rapidly design, code, integrate and test capabilities on a continuous basis into a mature solution for our customers.
Experience coding in Java, C++ and other modern programming languages.
Provide a full line of software solutions from database development, backend computing, to modern user interface development.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
Experience with C++, C, or Java.
This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:
Experience working in an agile, collaborative environment.
Working knowledge of *NIX operating systems.
Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Excellent written and Verbal Communication skills; knowledge of MS office or other presentation tools.
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures.
Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.
