Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Modeling & Simulation (MSA) team in Colorado. The Algorithm & Simulation (A&S) Directorate is responsible for algorithm development including radiofrequency (RF) and electro-optical/infrared (EO-IR) Signal Processing, Guidance, Navigation, and Control, and missile-and-sensor-level Modeling and Simulation for RMD’s broad portfolio of projects, programs, and products.

The MSA teams within the A&S Directorate provide, develop, and maintain high fidelity performance simulations (including multiple sensor channels, scene generation capability, control hardware, physical environment, and embedded software), execute system performance analysis (including pre-flight prediction, post flight matching, and verification and validation), new business initiatives and develop & execute technology roadmaps.

Our portfolio includes surface Navy, undersea Navy, missile defense sensors, interceptors, command and control, integrated air and missile defense systems and space surveillance systems.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or a related STEM Degree
Must have five (5) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in Engineering, with specific experience in the following areas (an advanced Degree will satisfy 3 years of work experience):
Experience programming in C/C++ 
Experience applying object-oriented software design 
Experience conducting Mathematical analysis with tools such as MATLAB or Python 
Experience with UNIX/Linux command line 
Experience with software change management tools and processes 
Experience working with large production software environment 
Experience with Agile software development processes and tools (to include JIRA and Gitlab)
A Department of Defense Secret security clearance
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or Math 
Missile Defense domain working experience
Experience working in multi-disciplined team environment (Signal Processing, Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering) 
Experience in electro-optics and their application to engineering problems 
Experience with Imaging EO hardware, energy transport physics, or discrimination algorithms  
Experience applying software acceleration techniques (multi-process, GPU, Embedded, etc.) 
Experience with OpenGL, CUDA, or other GPU accelerated languages 
Experience with Real-time Programming  
Experience using GPU architectures
Experience with high-level coding languages and scripting languages, such as C/C++, Java, JavaScript, HTML, Python, Perl, Shell Script, bash, and awk.
Experience with Matlab, MySQL, and SharePoint.
Experience using and augmenting Build Systems (Make/CMake) 
Course work or experience in the following fields:  
Signal & image processing, digital communications, estimation theory 
Experience with AI/ML 
Experience with training techniques 
Experience developing signal processing algorithms for missile applications 
Current Department of Defense Clearance 
Experience with other Scene generation / Sensor Modeling technologies

The salary range for this role is $68,000.00 to $140,000.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
