Currently, we are seeking a Systems Security Engineer to function as a key contributor for the Systems Design Directorate team in Tewksbury, MA, Woburn, MA or Marlborough, MA!

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
As a Systems Security Engineer, your day-to-day activities may include:

Supporting the development of cybersecurity requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans, and policies.

Defining security development and test efforts implementation of security controls of networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software components

Understanding and integrating cybersecurity development activities.

Supporting the development of RMF documents and controls validation testing for Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditations.

Performing analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results.

Conducting cybersecurity audits to ensure appropriate implementation and compliance of the security posture.

Conducting technical and nontechnical trade studies and analysis.

Understanding, and compliance with, DoD technology release and export licensing policies.

Key management Plans and cryptography, reverse engineering

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 5 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.

Typically eight (8)+  years of progressive technical (hands-on) experience related to Systems/Software Engineering architecture, requirements, determination, development, and implementation

The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Experience in the field of Systems Engineering, including any of the following: System Requirements definition and analysis, System Test and Analysis, Systems Engineering Studies.

Knowledge of information security toolsets including but not limited to anti-virus, Vulnerability Assessment, HIDS/ NIDS, host-based or endpoint security solutions, Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) and centralized auditing tools

?Qualifications We Value:

Understanding of Systems Engineering requirements, specifications, and Experience implementing DoD and Federal IA Certification and Accreditation Processes, IA controls and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation

Familiar with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), as described in NIST Special Publication 800-37

Experience providing technical leadership to an engineering team throughout the entire product life cycle

Knowledge of Platform One DevSecOps environment

Knowledge of Host Based Security System (HBSS) /  Endpoint Security Services (ESS), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) / Tenable Security Center, and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).

Experience in security systems engineering involving various computer hardware and software S/W operating system and application solutions in both a stand-alone and in LAN/WAN configurations.

Knowledge and integration for Manticore

Previous Experience working with Cybersecurity Operations Center

Knowledge of Cybersecurity techniques on radars

Security systems engineering involving various computer hardware and software S/W operating system and application solutions in both a stand-alone and in LAN/WAN configurations

Security features and/or vulnerability analysis of various operating systems as defined by Intelligence agencies

Experience with IT and/or network and system security administration, including operating system security configuration and account management best practices for UNIX, MS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and CISCO systems

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with coworkers, suppliers, management, and customers in a team environment

Experience contributing in a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to technical problems

Experience in Key management Plans and cryptography and reverse engineering
Critical Technology or Critical Program Information (CPI) identification or analysis
Anti-Tamper Plans, designs, implementation, verification
