Job Summary:

The Test Systems Product Team includes all of the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon Missile Defense (RMD) products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including: test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization and engineering laboratory management.  We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.

The Test Systems Engineering Department is seeking an Electrical Engineer II on our Testability team. As a member of the Testability Engineering team, you will assist with the development of Test Requirements, workbench/DSI models and master test list for products throughout full lifecycle such as Unit Under Test (UUT) development, subassembly to All Up Round (AUR) tests. You must be a systems thinker, able to master interactions and impacts of decisions at the next level up from your immediate project. Proper requirements management and traceability is critical for leveraging future reuse of Test Equipment network (TEn) requirements and models.  Basic knowledge of system architecture allows better support for test strategies.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Develop test processes, test requirements, functional decompositions, interface modeling, and Embedded/Built-In Test recommendations 

Evaluate schematics and system testability in order to make design and test recommendations for fault isolation and test access

Perform supplier assessments by analyzing black box models and third-party documentation, including Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)

Collaborate across all engineering teams to define, design, and document Test Equipment network (TEn) capabilities and requirements with an eye towards how prime hardware should be tested at different levels

Manage schedules and resources to meet assigned milestones

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience

Experience with Test Systems design, development, integration and/or verification

Experience in test systems requirements definition and/or analyzing electrical schematics.

The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

Advanced STEM degree

Preferred Electrical or Computer Engineering degree or background

Previous work experience with Electro-Optical or RF systems

Previous work experience with Systems Engineering standard views such as Block Definition Diagrams, Context Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams

Experience performing testability analysis on circuit cards and other assemblies

Experience analyzing circuit cards, to include schematic capture, layout, and manufacturing techniques

Experience in developing Test Requirements Documents, or using Requirements Management tools such as DOORS

Experience using Model Based Engineering (MBE) processes, tools, and techniques, with Rhapsody and IBM Rational Manager preferred

Experience with DSI eXpress, Unified Modeling Language (UML), and/or Systems Modeling Language (SysML)

Knowledge of Technology Readiness Levels (TRL’s) and Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL’s) is a plus
