Job Summary:
Raytheon Missiles & Defense has an exciting opportunity for a Material Program Manager (MPM) to support a critical development program within the Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) Mission Area. As an MPM, you’ll be the liaison between the supply chain organization and the program office – as well as other functional execution partners – and own the development, coordination, and execution of material strategies to ensure program requirements and business objectives are achieved. You’ll need to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct reports, effectively communicate across the organization, and develop creative solutions to challenging problems in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Develop and execute material strategies that meet customer requirements & program objectives
Establish and maintain Material Program Plans (MPP)
Identify opportunity & risk and proactively manage through comprehensive R&O plans
Support all gate activity, EAC reviews, program reviews, and R&O management reviews
Analyze Contract Flow-Downs and obtain any required Terms Attachments and/or Modifications
Generate Supplier Request for Proposals / Quotes (RFP’s / RFQ’s)
Assist with the generation of Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW’s)
Create Purchase Order Place Plan and necessary Purchase Requisitions to enact plan
Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues
Partner with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control, Finance, & Supply Chain functions to resolve issues related to the above
Qualifications You Must Have:
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
BA/BS degree, in Supply Chain, finance, business or other relevant discipline.
Typically requires eight (8) years’ progressive experience in a similar role (Supply Chain, Contracts, Operations, Production Control, Program Planner, Material Estimating, and/or Finance)
Qualifications We Value:
Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or similar
Experience in a cross functional environment managing multiple priorities
Active security clearance (Secret)
A working knowledge of MS Office
Must obtain MPM certification level 4 within 1 year of hire.
Project management certification
Experience with MRP systems and/or tools such as PRISM or Kinaxis
Proposal and/or capture experience
Current MPM certification
