As a Principal Material Program Manager, you’ll use your skills in implementing best-in-class management practices to optimize the supply base performance within the Patriot US Programs family of programs. This role encompasses the complete life cycle from capture through execution and sustainment. In this role, you’ll work with diverse systems and people, you’ll be a great team-builder, and you’ll provide accountability for the material program plans.
Your specific responsibilities will include assisting with management, coordination and oversight of Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) responsibilities and accountabilities for the Patriot US Programs, consisting of Production, Missile, Spares and Upgrade Programs.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Represent GSCM, serving as an interface to the Program Management Office (PMO), while aligning supply chain resources and solutions for the Patriot US Programs, consisting of Production, Missile, Spares, and Upgrade Programs.
Support the active management of GSCM financial metrics, including material sales forecasting and cash conversion.
Support the creation and management of Material Program Strategy (MPS) and the Material Program Plan (MPP) to ensure program competitiveness and performance from the front end of the business through contract closure.
Support all gate reviews, EAC reviews, and program reviews.
Oversight of subcontractor execution performance.
Developing proposal strategies.
Proactive Risk and Opportunity management (both material sales and EAC).
Key activities typically include:
Provide financial management and the EAC process and presenting to functional leaders.
Provide strategic supplier management.
Utilize Material Forecasting Tool (MFT) to generate monthly material sales forecast and present variances to GSCM LT and Supply Chain Finance.
Communication of customer flowthrough requirements (i.e., FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.).
Engage at the front end of the business to identify and secure GSCM resources to support the capture plan and management of the Supply Chain proposal content.
Report GSCM program status and communicating critical issues to external and internal customers, as well as offering solutions and implementing corrective action.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Operations.
BA/BS degree
working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, ITAR
Experience supporting Proposal efforts
Qualifications We Value:
Masters Degree
Program management for large programs
Knowledge of financial metrics, including material sales forecasting and cash conversion.
Typically requires:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
