Job Summary:

Provide Operations Engineering support to the Circuit Card Assembly Factory located in Andover, MA.  Primary responsibilities will be to support the Operation of SMT Process lines with a focus on AOI programming and AOI proficiency, which includes automated and programable equipment, for multiple products.  Additional responsibilities include process improvement, cycle time reduction, defect prevention and operator support. Individual will be required to participate in process improvement initiatives, establishment of process base line metrics, Defect prevention, and process data analysis.

This is a second shift position which includes an 8% added pay differential.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Advanced knowledge of Solder defect prevention detection, and assessment to ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3 solder joint specifications

Translating engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation

Computer and machine programming for manufacturing automation

Participate in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodology

Manufacturing process development and support

Interaction with senior personnel on technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and / or suppliers.

Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics and reductions in cost and/or defects

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

•Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience

•Manufacturing experience

•The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

 

Qualifications We Value:

•Knowledge and experience with ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3 & IPC-CC-830

•Experience in applying Lean Manufacturing principals

•Experience with supporting circuit card assembly production floor, (process and/or quality focus).

•Experience supporting the following equipment:

•SMT AOI equipment

•SMT Adhesive Placement Machines

•SMT Component Placement Machines

•Automated Optical inspection Machines

•Reflow Ovens

•X-Ray Inspection Equipment

•Knowledge and ability to apply Six Sigma principles and techniques

•Experience in DFMA principles

•Strong organization skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

•Self-motivated and results oriented

•Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology

•Detail oriented with strong coordination skills

•Ability to work in a team setting as well as individually

•Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills

•Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines

•Adaptability to varying work assignments

•Active DoD security clearance (confidential)

•Experience with automated equipment and programming

•Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Teams, Excel, PPT, Project, Word)
