Job Summary:

Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) has an exciting opening in a growing portfolio for a Manager, Contracts in the Land Warfare & Air Defense (LW&AD) Mission Area supporting the Raytheon-Rafael Area Protection Systems (“R2S”) Joint Venture.

As the official face of Raytheon to the customer, Contracts professionals handle essential communication, negotiation, and contract management throughout every phase of our customer relationship. Working as a strategic business partner within Raytheon, our ultimate aim is to deliver balanced, equitable deals that ensure mutual long-term success.

You will be responsible the R2S Joint Venture program contracts management with Raytheon and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, for end use by US Department of Defense (DoD) and direct commercial sale (DCS) Customers.  This role is a core member of the team, providing contractual guidance and business partnership with the JV Program Leadership (IPL) team. 

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

RFP analysis, proposal development, negotiation, and contract management
Advise on contractual rights and obligations and means to mitigate contractual/program risks
Understand the financial aspects of contracts/ business arrangements; ability to contribute to negotiation strategy and possess strong negotiation skills.
Primary customer interface for contracting matters, responsible for establishing and maintaining trust/ cooperation while ensuring that proposed and negotiated terms and conditions comply with requirements
Adept at multi-tasking/managing several contractual assignments concurrently
Strong organizational skills
Strong work initiative and ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
Effective communicator both orally and in writing; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, Communications or related field and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

Contract administration experience with the US DoD and DCS
Foundational understanding of the FAR and DFARS, the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR)/ Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and/or terms review & negotiations
Focus on relationships, responsiveness with strong time management and organizational skills
Previous effective interaction with customers
Ability to work within a team and foster trust with customers
Existing Secret clearance

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD – 196,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
