Job Summary:
Raytheon Missiles and Defense is hiring for a Lead Semiconductor Equipment Engineer assigned to the 1st shift. The ideal candidate will be the lead equipment engineer in the sputtering and dielectric work centers; and work hands on in a cleanroom environment. The qualified candidate must have the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of semiconductor processing equipment within the clean room environment. The candidate must also be able to manage budgets, generate purchase requests, coordinate vendor support, and lead a team of indirect support across 5 shifts. Supported tool sets include sputtering and nitride equipment from various OEM’s and varying ages. This includes high levels of experience with vacuum, exhaust, electrical, electro-mechanical, RF / microwave, and gas systems typically found in a semiconductor operation. This role requires the ability to lead.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Participate in continuous improvement activity, specifically with SPC controls of critical inputs to the manufacturing process and will work to improve up time performance on assigned systems.
Ensure equipment availability by implementing corrective actions for hardware and software related equipment issues.
Document equipment related scrap events through 5C’s
Participate in 8D’s
Requires support of emergency response team (ERT).
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires Bachelor’s degree with five (5) years of relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree and three (3) years of relevant experience OR in absence of a degree, nine (9) years of relevant experience.
Qualifications We Value:
Familiar with SEMI 10 semiconductor standards
Read and understand equipment manuals and schematics
Must have a fundamental understanding of SPC controls with the ability to implement SPC control plans on existing equipment and new equipment installations
Able to document work and provide detailed pass downs.
Experience with predictive maintenance and SPC controls using FDC software
Related experience as a hand-on Equipment Maintenance Technician/ Engineer maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment
Self-starter able to work independently as well as work in groups while leading a team
Ability to pull and analyze tool data
Proficient use of MS Office products
