RMD has an opening for a Senior Manager, Contracts within RMD’s Advanced Technology organization, which focuses on key pursuits as well as development efforts that serve as the growth engine and front end of the business, critical to the future growth of RMD.
The Senior Manager will lead and supervise a team of approximately two Contracts professionals, providing day-to-day as well as strategic Contracts leadership for the Alternate Missions portfolio, as well as other program areas within Advanced Technology. There is a significant amount of competitive pursuit activity within this role.
Please note that this role is designated as onsite in Tucson, Arizona.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFP)
Conduct proposal reviews and coordinate customer responses
Review Estimates at Completion (EAC)
Support program management and execution reviews
Develop Intellectual Property and investment strategy
Provide general contract administration
Work closely with the Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Business/Estimating, and Supply Chain to construct, submit and negotiate pricing proposals
Provide guidance to senior management regarding contractual and business issues
Ensure that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies
Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years of prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of related experience
Prior experience with US Government contracts
Active and in-scope Top Secret US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
Experience managing development contracts
Experience as a team or program contracts lead
Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification
Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with customers and internal partners based on understanding, teamwork, and trust
Experience working is a fast-paced environment, where prioritization is required to be effective
Proven record of responsiveness with strong time management and organization skills
Contractual acumen with proficiency in contracts fundamentals
Related contract administration experience including hands-on proposal preparation and contract negotiations with the US Department of Defense (DoD)
Familiarity with Other Transaction Agreements, Intellectual Property, license agreements, or teaming agreements
Juris Doctor or MBA a plus
