Job Summary:
The Enterprise-Wide Area Network (eWAN) Datacenter Virtualization Subject Matter Expert (SME) will design and implement solutions for an enterprise-wide virtual infrastructure spanning multiple datacenters and supporting critical programs with classified information system capabilities. In this role you will use SME knowledge to unite multiple virtual environments in two datacenters and across programs with different need-to-know to form one solution which meets requirements for disaster recovery, system integrity, monitors computer usage, capacity, growth, and capacity based on Raytheon Technologies’ standard architectural solutions. Success in this role means you can develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient virtual infrastructure across various classified programs.

This position is in Tewksbury, MA, with potential for domestic travel. Relocation is available to the selected applicant if they meet company policy criteria.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Work with a dynamic and fast paced Scaled Agile team to integrate and partner with Product Owners, Enclave Level System Administrators, and network engineers on the program nodes to design, build, operate, and evolve end-to-end solutions based on the enterprises’ requirements for a multi-tenant classified environment
Candidate should have familiarity with the National Industrial Security Program (“NISP”) and the National Institute of Standards and Time (“NIST”) Risk Management Framework (“RMF”)
Collaborating with cross business partners to define computing requirements, create end to end virtual solutions, monitor computing usage, capacity, performance, and ongoing growth requirements.
Utilize preexisting strong background knowledge in the architecture of virtual environments to perform day-to-day break/fix operations tasks.
Assure a high level of system reliability and high availability through monitoring and infrastructure management.
Install, convert, patch, troubleshoot, and upgrade hardware and software supporting the virtual environments.
Develop, revise, and maintain technical and operational documentation (including procedures) to continually improve our computing environments.
Assist in developing the overall performance and capability of your technical team through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
Must be VMware certified (VCP or higher) OR 5+ years of experience with VMware vSphere to include designing, managing, and building virtual environments, desktops and servers.
Hands on administrative experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructures such as VMware Horizon View, or LiquidWare Profile Unity
Experience with VMware Aria (FKA vRealize) monitoring and familiarity with automation capabilities like Ansible and/or Terraform.
An active and in-scope Secret (or higher) US security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
Linux based systems such as RedHat Enterprise Linux, Rocky Linux, CentOS, or Ubuntu
CISSP or CASP certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of start date
Windows operating systems including Windows 10 and 11, and Windows Server 2016 and 2019
Experience managing an enterprise environment
Current IT Systems Administration related certifications such as MSCE, MCSA or MCTS
Ability to design, document, and implement virtual environments
Active Directory and group policy management Administration
Scripting/programming experience
Fundamental networking/distributed computing environment and TCP/IP concepts
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Desire to learn new skills and troubleshoot issues
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with geographically separated teams
