System Administrator – Tier 2 Support Engineer

Tampa, Florida

The selected candidate will provide Systems Administration Tier 2 support to a deployed data center ensuring the program customer has access to same-day imagery to meet mission needs.

Support window will be 10 hours per day, 4 days per week rotational schedule (9:00 pm ET – 7:00 am ET).

Tier 2 support to include:

– Familiarity with geospatial-intelligence (GEOINT) products and imagery exploitation software resources (GXP Xplorer, CGSWeb, ESRI ArcGIS Portal)

– Software monitoring and patching

– Identification and diagnosis of general software issues; and communicating with program users

Work Location: Tampa, FL

Security Clearance Requirements:

Minimum required: An active and in-scope Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. security clearance

Final clearance (to be obtained after start): the ability to obtain a CI Poly clearance

Required Skills:

Experience in system and/or network administration (UNIX, Linux, Windows)

Experience in writing basic scripts on Linux and Windows Server platforms to move data, update databases, and perform other general administrative tasks.

Experience acquiring, organizing, replicating, and disseminating geospatial-intelligence (GEOINT) products to various intelligence agencies.

Experience in software monitoring and patching; identification and diagnosis of general software issues; and communicating with program users.

Understanding of support functions involving the daily Operational and Sustainment of the operational systems (software monitoring and patching; certification ad diagnosis of general software issues; and communicating with program users)

Experience with operations and maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/networking environments

Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software components

Ability to work a 10-hour day, 4 days per week rotational schedule (Arabia Standard Time), 9:00 pm ET – 7:00 am ET

Desired Skills:

An active and in-scope TS/SCI CI Poly clearance

Typically Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree (STEM preferred) in Computer Science, Math, Science, Engineering, or Software Engineering with typically 5 years’ of relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
