Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Staff Operations Officer (SOO) to work side-by-side with client staff to support a wide range of requirements in a dynamic setting in Northern VA. Successful candidates will work in team environment and will be capable of operating independently with minimal supervision. Candidates will be required to have prior experience working with the Intelligence Community and meeting its objectives. Candidates are expected to work and communicate with the customer daily.
Key responsibilities:
The primary function of a Staff Operations Officer is to support operational aspects of the program by performing research and analysis to meet our customer’s requirements. The officers will be required to utilize various databases to conduct their research using all-source and classified information and be able to draft and disseminate official communications, reports and conops. The officers will have to be able to effectively communicate with peers and customer personnel at all levels.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience
Must have at least 1-4 years of IC experience to include collection and official documentation and other SOO activities
Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing classified databases to meet the client’s requirements.
Must have excellent analytical skills and report-writing experience
Knowledge of and experience in the fundamentals of all-source intelligence analysis
Attention to detail and the ability to effectively follow-through and manage status reporting, scheduling, and project communications
Desired Skills:
Proficiency with software and databases used in support of research and analysis for the intelligence communities
Foreign language proficiency is a plus
Education:
Must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
