Provide Materials and Process Engineering support for RF Systems, Radomes and Composites. This involves supporting development and production programs. Specific areas of need are in RF system assembly, composite development and fabrication, adhesive bonding, material properties testing, mechanical testing, process documentation, and assembly instructions. Development support will be Design Verification Testing of composite parts, material and process selection for new products, and product transition to production.

Production support may be required in one or more areas in RF Systems integration, phased array and aperture assembly, composite radome fabrication and bonding, RF materials, paint and finish, resin transfer molding, and metallization. Interfacing with cross-functional disciplines (Operations, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering) and suppliers and customers. It is crucial to maintain good communication (written and oral) to keep all parties informed of progress. An important role will be maintaining cohesive environments with all your teams within the business unit.

Security Clearance & Other Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance after day 1 of employment. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
5 +years of relevant experience

Practical knowledge of project management

Knowledge of polymer materials or fabrication methods (composites preferred)
Basic understanding of material property dependency on processing parameters
Relationships of nonmetallic materials and their properties to assist with design producibility.
Understanding of statistical concepts and how to apply them to development and production processes.
Strong initiative to develop a process and transition it into production (training of operators)
Hands-on initiative and problem-solving skills
Basic understanding of mechanical assembly
Knowledge of engineering and scientific methods and tools to characterize behavior of products and processes (laboratory experience preferred)
Ability to effectively communicate and document results in reports, specifications, and supporting data

Desired Education and Experience:

Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
3 +years of relevant experience
Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work
Knowledge of composite materials (and willingness to demonstrate processes in the labs)
Demonstrated organizational skills including documentation of processes
Demonstrated laboratory experience (thermal analysis techniques, mechanical properties testing, etc.)
Demonstrated proficiency to handle a variety of activities within multiple areas
Proven work ethic, dedication to co-workers, and ability to foster team growth
Demonstrated organizational skills including documentation of processes
Familiar with multi-disciplined Integrated Product Team methods and processes
Ability to perform work without appreciable direction
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
