We are seeking a Control Systems and Signal Processing Engineer to join our Physical Sciences & Systems business unit located a stone’s throw from seaside Newport, Rhode Island. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to developing and evaluating new acoustic signal processing algorithms in MATLAB, prototyping new capabilities and evaluating performance in simulation, and supporting evaluation and test both in-lab and in the field. The ideal candidate enjoys in a multi-disciplinary role and is comfortable adapting to and identifying new technologies as needed.

Develop and implement control systems, signal modeling software, and physical system representations in MATLAB and SIMULINK
Collaborate with a cross-functional team testing your contributions and analyzing performance
Integrate components you develop into a larger system in preparation for real world testing and deployment.

What you will need
BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, or relevant discipline; plus 5 years of experience or MS plus 3 years.
Algorithm development experience in MATLAB or Python
Physical system modeling experience (SIMULINK preferred)
Experience with signal processing in application and data processing and analysis
Experience implementing signal processing algorithms
Position may require some amount of overnight travel to support field testing and customer interaction.
May require occasional overnight travel
Willingness to apply for and be granted a US Government security clearance
Additional Skills that would be great
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Advanced degree or additional experience will be compensated appropriately
