Raytheon is supporting a U.S. Government customer on a large mission critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment including introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats. Raytheon Cybersecurity and Special Missions (CSM) is seeking a Sr. Architect to assess requirements and develop Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) views of large-scale cybersecurity architectures and associated artifacts to support the development of advanced cybersecurity capabilities.

Responsibilities include:

– Partnering with the Chief Architect to develop advanced, leading-edge, cloud-oriented architectures with DoDAF views that communicate and enable the development of new cybersecurity capabilities to a major U.S. Government customer

– Partnering with Agile teams to incrementally develop system architecture, designs and implementation of advanced, cloud-oriented cybersecurity capabilities

– Interfacing directly with customers, stakeholders, and end-users regarding capability architectures, requirements, use cases, and stories to derive, develop and decompose next-cycle updates and specifications.

Required Skills:

Must be a US Citizen

Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability

10+ years of applicable hands-on practitioner experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo Enterprise Architect. 

Must demonstrate proficiency in the development DoDAF architecture views (OVs, SVs, SvcVs, DIVs, etc.)

Able to work effectively and collaboratively as a leader, in a group, or as an individual contributor

Strong working knowledge of IT products and services

Innovative, technical mindset, focused on delivering value to stakeholders and developers

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization

Ability to analyze information and identify relevant facts

Ability to shape opinions of key stakeholders and influence outcomes – Proven track record of achieving desired results

Strong and diverse business and technical acumen

Experience working with senior leadership including VP and Director levels

Desired Skills:

Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) knowledge and experience

Experience in the development of MBSE models and artifacts in support of Epic analysis

Experience working with cloud architectures (AWS, Azure), and DevOps and/or DevSecOps environments

Experience working on projects that implement analytic models into production systems

Experience with agile tools, including Jira and Jira Align

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field. (Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree level education.)

Desired Certifications:

DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II

Typically requires:

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years

prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree

in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited

by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD – 236,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
