Reporting to the Naval Communications Station, Harold E Holt, (NCS HEH) Mission Systems Manager you will be required supervise a team of electronic technicians and tradesmen to operate, troubleshoot and maintain the Communications Station at site.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the Defence Communications Station at HEH and allocated resources to achieve contract on-air performance targets IAW with contracted requirements.
Provide strong and effective leadership.
Manage reporting to the NCS HEH team, both Commonwealth and contractor, for the Transmitter Site in relation to tasks, projects, and operations.
Control the scheduling and performance of all preventive and corrective maintenance activities at the Transmitter Site. Actively participate in daily operations when required to meet schedules and to facilitate the resolution of complex problems.
Develop and implement training programs to improve the skill level of personnel assigned to the Communication Station.
Supervise and manage all requisition functions to maintain adequate spares, tools and materials for the Site.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Experience in Trades, Electronics or Engineering disciplines working with complex Industrial or Defence Systems.
Preference for a Minimum 3-4 years’ supervisor experience but a highly competent Tradesman or Technician will be considered.
Previous experience working on High Power devices looked on favourably.
Have experience with Programmable Logic Controller systems (PLC) and ladder logic diagnostics
Strong knowledge and experience of PC hardware, networking & peripheral computing equipment including data networks.
