Senior System Engineer
Harlow – Hybrid model offered
Raytheon UK is looking for an enthusiastic engineer keen to progress his career by working on cutting edge technology in the Weapons and Sensors Department.
The job involves providing a UK customer with a Capability Demonstrator for a laser weapon system.
The successful candidate will join a fast-moving program with a highly motivated team operating to tight timescales.
The role is to lead the integration and verification activities to a successful conclusion prior to handing over the system to the customer and then provide support to the customer led trials.
This will involve extensive collaboration with both customer agencies and suppliers
Understanding of the System life cycle from receipt of requirements to providing verification evidence against those requirements.
Experience of integrating complex systems involving weapons, platforms, and communications – particularly involving land vehicle integration.
Experience of planning, executing, supporting, and reporting on, tests and trials.
Experience of working with suppliers/partners to deliver tasks.
Experience of writing System verification/validation documentation.
Willingness to travel
Generating basis of estimates for tasks – description, duration, skill set needed, and hours required.
Understanding of the use of DOOR’s for system requirement flow down.
Experience of working closely with customers as a team
Problem solving skills
