To support our mission, Raytheon Australia is currently seeking a motivated Software Engineer who is ready to join a diverse, talented, and enthusiastic team of engineering professionals at the initial stages of the Land555 Phase 6 Force Level Electronic Warfare – Land acquisition program.
If you are ready for the next step in your career then this role is for you. Reporting to the Software Engineering Lead, the Software Engineer will support the integrated product team developing software and compute hardware solutions to the program throughout the engineering lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Perform software analysis to derive function, performance and interface requirements to satisfy the system requirements.
Perform software design activities to ensure that the system architecture is compatible with the baselined product and is consistent across all subsystems and that the design will meet the system/software level performance requirements.
Develop and maintain software level architecture design documents as required.
Provide expertise in applicable Operating System, programming language and SW Development Environment and tools use.
Software testing at the unit and subsystem levels according to approved procedures.
Provide support for software integration and system integration activities.
Mentoring junior team members to build team skills in software engineering methodology, as well as the required tools and procedures.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent degree.
4 years’ experience with advanced knowledge of requirement definition and analysis, software architecture and design, development and testing.
Experience working within an Agile development environment.
Experience with Java development and networking.
Available to undertake travel where necessary to meet requirements of the role.
Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance. Eligibility criteria can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
