Radar Sensor Systems (RSS) is looking for a Data Scientist who have a passion for analyzing and uncovering digital insights from large, complex streams of data derived from various databases and sources.
Key responsibilities:
The Data Scientists will be responsible for identifying and acquiring data from primary and secondary sources and performing aggregation and analysis of that data using advanced statistical and analysis techniques
Analyze data using quantitative and qualitative methods to provide customers with comprehensive insights into strengths, opportunities and areas requiring improvement
Assist with process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret Security clearance and Special Program Access within one year, US Citizenship required.
Required Skills:
Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases
Build and Optimize data pipelines, architectures and data sets
Analyze data and translate analysis into meaningful insights
Experience in developing, modifying, and enhancing data in support of key measures of effectiveness for impact
Demonstrated ability to manipulate large data sets into user-friendly formats
Identify and analyze trends or patterns in complex data sets
Oral and written communication skills, as well as data visualization techniques
Support and work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
Understanding of the concepts of information management and reliability concepts
Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment with constantly changing priorities
Experience constructing Tableau dashboards and UIs
Desired Skills:
DoD Top Secret Security
Analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets
Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
Project management and organizational skills
SAP database or other maintenance system databases strongly desired but not required
Education & Experience Requirements:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Technology, Mathematics, or related STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience – OR
Advanced Degree in Engineering, Physics, Technology, Mathematics, or related STEM discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience
