Summary of Role:

Raytheon UK is looking for a Media Developer who will be responsible for the development of creative design solutions and visual concepts to produce a wide range of multimedia work to support Royal Navy training


Main duties include:

The production and preparation of print ready and digital artwork adhering to identity and branding rules.

Production of interactive digital templates and forms, which can be delivered across multiple platforms.

Creation of content using rapid authoring tools to create online learning content to support online learning.

Filming, editing, and producing video content.

DSLR camera proficiency and the processing of photographic output.

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate has a background in media design for electronic and print formats, is comfortable working within a standardized development environment, thinks creatively, is confident, excels in a collaborative team atmosphere, and is detail oriented. A professional attitude, ability to follow technical and workflow processes, and solid communication skills are essential.


Experience in creating and developing media content with expert levels of proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of design and editing tools.

Able to undertake effective analysis and interpretation of a design brief to produce storyboards incorporating graphics, images, text and time-based media to achieve the envisaged requirement.

Must be organized and work well both independently and in a fast-paced team environment.

Ability to comprehend/interpret technical and non-technical information and apply it to visual media.

Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment.


Experience in developing eLearning solutions
Experience of using Moodle or equivalent Learning Management System (LMS)
Experience of Microsoft Office packages
Understanding of DSAT (Defence Systems Approach to Training) and JSP 822
Experience in collating data and maintaining accurate records
Experience of learning and development methodologies
Understanding of Quality Assurance procedures

Required Education and experience:

A qualification in Digital Media, Graphic Design or a related field.
