Raytheon IIS/CSM is looking for a Logistics Specialist to support a fast-paced rapidly changing high-tech mission.  The Specialist will be embedded within a multi-disciplined team including logistics, procurement, and engineering personnel to perform quick-reaction support services.  The specialist is expected to independently interact with variety of customers on a daily basis and be a team player, self-motivated and able to independently prioritize tasking in a very complex and dynamic environment.  The Specialist is expected to create relationships with remote logistics teams to smoothly expedite shipment and receipt of equipment and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.  Tasking on this job will vary widely from day to day.  The Logistics Specialist must be willing to learn all facets of Property Management, Warehouse Operations and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).  Logistics personnel will be cross-trained in all areas of warehouse operation and will be expected to cover each other’s area of responsibility as well as support customer surge requirements.  The Specialist must be familiar with local established business policies, procedures and public law to ensure compliance.  The Specialist will have the opportunity to transport customer items within the Washington Metropolitan Area.

The Specialist will also be responsible for shipping items to CONUS facilities operated and maintained by the customer and other contractors. . Our operations will require the specialist to work in inclement weather (Rain, Snow,Heat and Humidity) to complete our mission.  Individuals will be required to lift 50 pound items unaided and will be certified for DOT/IATA Hazardous Materials and Electrostatic Discharge. Hours of operations are typically Monday-Friday, 7am-330pm, and can vary based upon customer mission requirements. Candidates must be willing to travel to Dulles, Virginia and/or Ballston, Virginia on a daily basis.
 
Requirement Skills/Background:
Candidates must have a TS/SCI;
Candidates must have U.S. Citizenship;
Demonstrated ability to work as a team player providing excellent customer service skills;
Must have the ability to lift 50 pound items unaided;
Experience transporting items within the Washington Metro area;
Must have the ability to work in inclement weather conditions (rain, snow, heat and humidity) to complete required mission;

Desired Skills/Background:

Logistics Specialist related experience;
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office computer applications;

Education Required:  Requires university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of two years of prior relevant experience.
