An exciting opportunity for a Lead Simulator Technician has arisen within the Electronic Attack Training Support (EATS) Program. Under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the conduct of preventive and corrective maintenance on Australian Super Hornet and Growler Simulator equipment to meet the required training availability. High levels of dedication and attention to detail are critical for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Power On/system initialisation and preparation activities to ensure training devices are ready for training.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including scheduled servicing, component removal / installation, visual system alignment, mechanical alignments and calibrations, network diagnostics and system troubleshooting.
Achieve and maintain Maintenance Authority in accordance with the program’s Maintenance Management Plan.
Document maintenance conducted in accordance with the program’s Maintenance Management Plan (MMP).
Comply with and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives and general safe workplace standards.
Ensure security of facilities, information, equipment and systems.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Certificate IV Avionics or Certificate IV in Electrical / Electronic / Information Technology.
Minimum 6 Years Previous experience in a similar field.
Knowledge of flight simulation systems.
Knowledge of complex aircraft systems including Radar, Navigation, Instrumentation, Electronic Warfare, Air to Ground and Air to Air Weapons.
Knowledge of IT Network fundamentals and diagnostics and computing equipment maintenance.
Able to interpret technical publications, drawings and data.
Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software faults.
Working knowledge of engineering, configuration management and logistics support requirements as they relate to Defence systems.
