Raytheon Technologies is seeking a highly skilled IT Solutions Architect with multimedia experience to join our team in Springfield, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer science and networking disciplines and will work closely with other experienced engineers to bring innovative technical solutions to life through conceptualization, prototype development, and deployment.
To be considered for this role, applicants should have a track record in prescribing and deploying commercial hardware and software systems to meet customer needs. Experience with real-time communications applications is highly desirable, particularly in how these services interface with larger networks to meet performance minimums. Additionally, a thorough understanding of best practices for network security is required.
This role may also include some work in 3D reality capture, manipulation, and visualization using state-of-the-art scanning and software tools. Candidates with a background or experience in video editing is preferred.

Required Skills
Possess an active Secret security clearance, Top Secret preferred
Strong understanding of network design and security principles
Experience with real-time streaming and communications protocols
Strong mathematics background to support skills in point cloud processing, meshing, 3D modeling
Knowledge or interest in interactive multimedia development environments (Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Blender, or similar software)
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, interfacing with both customers and coworkers from different disciplines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint)
Desired Skills
Experience or interest in software development, sensor specification, and integration into custom & COTS integrated designs
Familiarity with mixed reality technologies (AR/VR/MR)
Ability to utilize Unreal Engine to develop basic interactive applications
Any game development experience
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C++, Python, Java, or C#
Experience with Linux or Windows operating systems
Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or VirtualBox
Understanding of network protocols and network-related programming
Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
Familiarity with reality capture workflows and digital twins
Required Education
Bachelors or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, or Mathematics and minimum of two years of work experience.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires an active Secret security clearance on day one of employment.
Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs
or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Engineering/Other Technical Positions:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior
relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
