Key Responsibilities

Provide engineering solutions including design, analysis, implementation, test and lifecycle support of the safe and secure delivery of MTTES components, modules and subsystems.

Develop system change proposals using the change management processes and conforming to relevant quality management and Australian Standards.

Conduct testing against the approved baselines for verification and validation including development and execution of test procedures and analysis documentation

Support of operational MTTES systems regarding troubleshooting and upgrading of capabilities, requiring liaison with Operations & Maintenance staff and travel to remote locations during exercises.

Skills, Experiences and Qualifications

A minimum of 7-10 years prior relevant experience in mechanical / mechatronics / electrical engineering within a process driven engineering environment (eg. Defence, medical, manufacturing, mining).

Willingness and ability to travel to regional and remote locations to perform small team/independent work, focusing on troubleshooting and testing.

Demonstrated ability to effectively working in a team to achieve and document complex deliveries within a tight time frame.

Demonstrated experience with managing the safety & risk assessment process and addressing risks through system safety design.

Desirable:

Demonstrated experience on vehicle-based radar and communication systems.

RF testing experience and qualifications.

EMI/EMSEC design and controls experience.

Experience in 2D and 3D CAD packages including CREO and AutoCAD for design and drawing updates.

Eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
