We have an outstanding opportunity for a Director, Contracts for the Sensor and Network (SNS) strategic business unit (SBU). This role would be the Contracts leader for the Protected Communications Systems (PCS) sub-SBU reporting to the Vice President of SNS Contracts.
As the Contracts Lead for PCS, this role is responsible for the successful execution of all contractual related actions and strategy in the portfolio in terms of cost, schedule and services. Additionally, the Director, Contracts will be required to focus on long-term strategy development and execution as well as short and medium range operational planning for the sub SBU. The PCS Contracts lead is a critical and value-added business partner who regularly engages in cross-functional activities to the business deals and innovative contracting solutions for internal and external customers. This individual will lead a geographically dispersed team and customer base.
What You Will Do:
Support program gate reviews, program management reviews, business strategy sessions, proposal reviews, risk management activities, and all other contracts related matters affecting the portfolio
Lead a team of 9 contracts professionals, including 2 supervisors
Develop and mentor talent
Improve the overall quality and capability of the organization by attracting, retaining and growing a capable, dedicated workforce
Effectively manage customer relationships face-to-face negotiations with US Government and/or Defense Prime Contractors
Skills & Requirements:
U.S. citizenship status is required as this position requires a Secret clearance on day one of employment
Advanced knowledge of the FAR, DFAR, ITAR, public law and Terms and Conditions
Experience with prime and sub arrangements and relationships with a variety of contract types
Knowledge of cultural norms, expertise in local contracting regulations and negotiation experience with local high-level officials within the US and foreign countries
Desired Skills:
Experience leading in a product-based business with a development and production contract management
Required Education:
Typically requires a university degree and a minimum of 14 years prior relevant experience, or an advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 12 years’ experience.
Preferred Education:
Master’s Degree in Business Administration or other Business-related degree; third party certifications and certificate programs are an added bonus
