We are looking for a Director, General Legal who will be responsible for all legal aspects within the Space & C2 portfolio to include Prime Contracts with customers (USG, International Commercial, and Domestic Commercial). This role is highly complex and operates across all phases of capture, execution, and contract closeout and is responsible for regulatory and customer management domestically and internationally. Its customers include branches of the U.S. military, the Department of Defense, Missile Defense Agency, as well as several classified customers.
This role will support the General Counsel for SC2, one of RI&S’ larger Strategic Business Units (SBUs). As trusted counsel to the SBU leadership team, this role provides the business and functional teams a wide range of legal, compliance and strategic support from opportunity inception through program execution.
What You Will Do:
Work to identify, resolve and properly elevate legal issues to ensure compliance with RTX policies and alignment with RTX and industry best practices
Active participation in all Gate reviews and pursuits including: CAPs, teaming agreements, GT, FCPA, anti-corruption due diligence, and contract & subcontract terms and conditions early in the capture process to identify potential risk and avoid or mitigate it
Provide indirect supervision to IP Counsel who assists the SBU General Counsel in providing legal support with regard to certain specific product lines
Regularly directs SBU Contracts teams (approximately 50 people) in order to ensure compliant and strategic business outcomes
Provide creative legal solutions to complex problems for the purposes of increasing profitability and program efficiency
Leverage organizational synergies to build a stronger collaboration model between Legal, Contracts, and supply chain and better define roles and responsibilities between each function that brings their full complimentary capabilities in the areas of contracts, major subcontracts, offsets, IDIQ, OTAs and other complex transactions
Provide legal counsel for the SBU to resolve all disputes with international Government entities, customers, suppliers, etc
Skills and Requirements:
U.S. citizenship status is required as this position requires the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance within 1 year of start date
Minimum 14 years of demonstrated legal experience, knowledge, clearances and special access
Ability to travel at least 25%
Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 14 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 12 years’ experience.

The salary range for this role is $157,000.00 to $313,000.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
