Military Customer Support and Services is seeking a motivated individual to help enhance fleet readiness for customers operating TF33 engines, which are in service on the B-52 bomber, and other surveillance aircraft,
This customer support engineering (CSE) position is well-suited to an individual seeking to demonstrate and further develop his/her project management abilities while acquiring broad-based whole engine experience.
The successful candidate will inherit a diverse set of responsibilities and will work with other team members to focus on the effort.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as primary technical interface between Pratt & Whitney and all TF33 customers
Provide complete timely responses to customer and FSR technical questions and track in appropriate systems
Research technical issues and correct source data to resolve systems level issues, coordinate with program management and customers to implement solutions to improve engine safety and readiness
Support coordination and participate in company teams sent out to customer locations for special inspections, data collection, evaluation of designs, etc.
Author Position Papers to convey Pratt & Whitney’s technical and logistical recommendations to the field upon resolution of complex technical issues
Coordinate and present technical issues in support of customer meetings and conferences
Prepare & present Maintenance Awareness Briefing (MAB) briefings to USAF and foreign military services (FMS)
Assist with multiple projects focused on minimizing the rate of Unscheduled Engine Removals and improving the efficiency of depot maintenance to increase engine supportability
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of prior relevant experience; OR an Advanced degree with 3 years of prior relevant experience
US Citizenship required due to government contracts
Preferred Qualifications:
The ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral
Former maintainer; people with hands on experience with the TF33 or similar engine experience
