The Aero Thermal Fluids (ATF) discipline is responsible for the functional aero, fluids and thermal design, analysis, and performance evaluation of Pratt & Whitney propulsion systems for commercial and military applications. We are seeking a motivated, ambitious individual to join the Acoustics & Aeromechanics team. The successful candidate will have experience with analytical, computational, or experimental fluid-structure interaction and/or structural dynamics.

 Key Responsibilities:

Development and/or application of state-of-the-art aeromechanics/aeroacoustics analysis methods in support of military and commercial aircraft engine programs
Processing and physical interpretation of unsteady data from simulations and tests to inform design decisions and root cause analyses
Coordination of analyses and integration of design efforts across Aerodynamics, Structures, and Design Centers
Communication of results to internal and external customers

Basic Qualifications:

B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience applying engineering skills 
US Citizenship due to government contracts
Ability to obtain DOD clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Active DOD clearance
Strong analytical/theoretical background in unsteady fluid mechanics, flow-induced noise and vibration, dynamical systems, or structural dynamics  
Background in signal processing and physics-based interpretation of unsteady data
Experience with CFD-based aeromechanics and aeroacoustics analysis tools
Excellent presentation, written and verbal interpersonal skills
Ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams
