Job Description:
As the Quality Requirements Engineer, you will develop and revise Quality Standards (NDT -Non Destructive Test, Visual & Dimensional Control) that provide acceptance limits for inherent process anomalies for both experimental and production hardware.
Act as a technical interface between Engineering Quality, Design and Manufacturing process owners and provide standardization of inspection methods, terms and characteristics to obtain part uniformity and consistency.
Create a streamline approach for expediting revision to existing standards to maximize cost savings and minimize disruption in delivery.
Establish Quality Assurance Document assignment of Nondestructive Test (NDT), Visual, Dimensional Control, and Quality Systems Requirements for all Engine Hardware.
Provide technical interpretations of Engineering Drawings and Specifications including PWA (Pratt & Whitney Americas) and AMS (Aerospace Materials Specifications) using PWA 360, PWA 79360, ASME Y14.5 and others as appropriate.
Cross train with Engineering Standards for specification updates.
This position would appeal to anyone looking to broaden their exposure/experience with Engineering and Manufacturing through the development, application and assignment of Non-destructive Testing, Quality Standards acceptance limits and Quality System controls.
Travel up to 10% may be required for this position.
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
5+ years of experience in Engineering or 3+ years with an advance degree
US Citizenship due to government contract
Preferred Qualifications:
BS in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
ASQ Certification or equivalent qualifications.
Familiar with Engineering Inspection Methods and Manufacturing Operations and Processes
Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and Industry Specifications, including but not limited to ASME 14.5.
Good comprehension of nondestructive testing, and inspection acceptance standards for manufacturing processes.
UG NX graphics skills are a plus.
Experience with Teamcenter
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills.
Security clearance or the ability to obtain one
