Key Responsibilities:

Interpretation of technical data such as Engineering Drawings, Quality Assurance specifications, etc., which will flow down into process work instructions.
Create work instructions for new processes including definition of tooling and process parameters.
Review & modify tool designs, track and implement tool changes and corrections.
Provide production support by resolving manufacturing process issues timely across multiple manufacturing areas.
Lead Root Cause & Corrective action investigations using root cause analysis tools
Perform technology and process development tasks; including, first piece runs, measurement system analysis and capability assessments
Complete Mfg. Readiness assessments, design and deploy risk mitigation actions
Implementation of lean process improvements activities to meet schedule and cost targets.
Lead development of new manufacturing and quality technologies.
Provide shift turnover communication for technical items.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or other related Bachelor’s degree
2+ years of engineering experience
U.S. citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications

Experience and knowledge of NC machining and assembly processes, including cutting tool application. CAD experience is desired.

Self-motivated, demonstrated team player and flexible in schedule and function.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Strong computer skills

Ability to self-manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
