Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced Principal Project Engineer to support the development of project plans, schedules and budgets, track progress, resolve problems, develop solutions, and forecast project revenues. The selected candidate will coordinate with other functional organizations to identify and address project problems, analyze data gathered, and develop solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines and optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the development of project plans, schedules and budgets.
Track progress, identify and resolve obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations.
Forecast project revenues, monitors costs and re-estimates project costs on a monthly basis to maximize project profitability and ensure business targets are met.
Analyze data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work.
Identify and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Facilitate project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion.
Oversee and coordinates the administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines.
Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
Act as Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) of multi-disciplinary employees on projects in technical manufacturing and administrative areas.
Meet program schedules and budgets and maintains the integrated master schedules for project(s).
Support military budget Earn Value Measurement System (EVMS) activities.

Basic Qualifications:

BS in Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience OR an Advance degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
US citizenship required due to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in Project Engineering or a combination of 10 years experience analytical mechanical design or manufacturing engineering.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships.
Experience and understanding of project management and planning.
Ability to effectively leverage teams across organizations to accomplish goals.
Experience in aerospace or defense industries.
Proficient with MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Travel up to 10%.
