As a Production Support Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing plans that are in line with the business strategy to further our world class technology portfolio. Provide operational engineering support to develop technologies and processes which support the growth curve and cost reduction targets. Leverage manufacturing innovations to improve cost, delivery, quality and assist with problem solving during manufacturing related investigations.

Responsibilities:

Own relentless RCCA for correcting non-conformance in the part families.
Perform DIVES and use statistical analysis tools to perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product
Implement and monitor corrective actions
Monitor and report on the health of a part family, including non-conformances and how the part ‘runs’ compared to ‘standard’ times
Look for areas to optimize, automate and trim waste.
Team with the Product ME to identify process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs /escapes and reduce overall product costs
As a key member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT), significant interaction with product designers, tool designers, quality assurance, systems designers, and other stakeholders is required
Maintain work instructions Support operational excellence using statistical analysis for process control and certification to continuously improve the quality and exceed customer’s expectations.

*This is an AWW role, AWW schedule is Fri/Sat/Sun 12 hours each day

Basic Qualifications:

BS ME degree or equivalent and 2 years of prior relevant experience
US citizenship required due to government contracts
Organizational skills with project management experience Statistical Process Control required DMAIC, Process Certification, UPPAP, Six Sigma

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to work with CAD tools, and create engineering blueprints SAP experience
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, experience with Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement program (ACE, 6S, etc.)
Processing knowledge of super alloys a plus
Possess good people and communication skills
