Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development including requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, and product software design, verification & validation. We integrate the control and diagnostic system design across other engine system modules and with the air vehicles and provide support throughout the complete engine product life cycle.
The Methods and Technology discipline within CDS provides a wide variety of domain experiences and opportunities. This team is a diverse and multi-disciplined group responsible for delivering critical products and services to support all CDS commercial and military programs. These products and services range from systems administration and security, application administration, application development, process automation and development of simulations of engine controls and other physical systems. Another significant part of this team’s responsibility is the deployment of new development methodologies such as agile framework.
Methods and Tools has an immediate opening for a Manager Information Workplace Services within the Infrastructure Solutions team. The candidate is responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Windows/Linux/Cloud infrastructure for unclassified and classified programs and collaborate with a diverse team to support fast-paced, critical programs with information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various programs and platforms. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.
Key Responsibilities:
Server management (software and hardware)
storage management (logical and physical)
cross platform authentication and access management
data backup and restoration
software and license configuration
workstation support
Leading a small team to support the organization technological products
Deployment and maintenance of: Computing clusters and Secure infrastructure
Basic Qualifications:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
US Citizenship and US Person Status required due to government projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Security Clearance is preferred; willing to obtain and maintain.
Experience preferred: Cyber security, IT, aerospace, infrastructure solutions, server management, cross platform authentication, access management, software licensing and workstation support.
