Manager: Military Programs CIPT
The Fuel & Actuation SSIPT lead will have the primary role of negotiating optimal technical solutions affecting all engine subsystems utilizing fuel components.
Key Responsibilities:
Become an expert on the development of fuel pumping, fuel metering, and fueldraulic actuation mechanisms.
Develop the right combination of technical background and interpersonal skills to reach across the PW organization and its supply base to quickly negotiate solutions to highly constrained system problems.
Broad understanding in the design of pumps, flow controls, and linear actuators and the electromechanical mechanisms that are used to control their behavior.
Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems in order to provide enhancements within job area
Basic Qualifications:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Experience with Engine Fuel Systems and Components experience in an engineering role (project, design, test, systems, production support, or any or all of the above).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a technical teaming environment.
US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
A Masters in Engineering is preferred.
Experience working as an engineer in an aircraft fuel system & components design/development/production/field support environment.
Background in leading an IPT.
Systems Engineering experience, with focus on Fuel and Fueldraulic Actuation subsystems.
Prior EDSIT experience a plus.
Proven ability to lead by influence.
Dynamic Analysis, Working experience with DOORs, MatLab, Simulink, and other System Design and Analysis software tools.
Broad understanding of aircraft engine power cycle and what it requires of its Fuel system.
Ability to negotiate technical solutions with teams having conflicting constraints.
Security Clearance is preferred; willing to obtain and maintain.
