Department Overview

Pratt & Whitney, a recognized leading producer of the world’s most powerful jet engines, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. This position is in Military Engines Customer Support Engineering for the F135 Engine that supports the F-35 aircraft.  This position is within Pratt & Whitney’s military engine sustainment organization.  The position will act as a primary interface with field bases around the world for support of the F135 Engine.  Internal interfaces with Support Equipment Engineers, Component Aftermarket Integrated Product Teams, Logistics Program Management, Program Office, Quality, and Fleet Management organizations as well as Maintenance Data Engineering. 

Key Responsibilities

Operate within cross functional work teams in an environment that supports operations, government customers, and program management.
Technical data review, interpretation, and authoring
Interface with internal Quality organization to assure process & product integrity
Support for authoring of technical dispositions for jet engine hardware
Coordination with engine fleet management programs
Product team technical presentations and cross organization communication
Develop proficiency and expertise in Customer Support Engineering (CSE) processes
Support of Joint Technical Data and source data authoring

Basic Qualifications

You’re in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program
Fields of study: Mechanical Engineering or related majors
You are graduating between Fall 2023 – or later
Minimum GPA of 3.0
At least 30 credits prior to starting the internship ​
Fluent in English (verbal/written)
US citizenship required due to government contracts


Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in MS Office applications
Ability to support operations in a fast paced, dynamic, and results based production environment.
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, organizational, time management skills and the ability to work well with multi-disciplinary groups is required.
