Pratt & Whitney Military Engines is seeking a Program Manager to lead the F135 Development Program Management team. This highly visible, leadership role provides guidance for F135 Development Programs including Component Improvement Program (CIP), Flight Test Support (Block 4), and Lockheed Martin integration efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute a robust CIP program to continually address reliability and maintainability issues and improve fleet performance
Execute and ensure continued propulsion system support of flight test activities at Edwards AFB & PAX River
Support contract closeout activities on the F135 SDD program
Continue to plan for F135 follow on development activities in support of customer’s continuous delivery, continuous development objectives
Establish and meet F135 Development financial objectives
Manage Development Risks for the F135 program
Strong technical background and ability to lead and develop a technical team
Ensure a strong relationship with Lockheed Martin on the F-35 Program
Drive Program Management best practices into the F135 Program and across the Military Engines business
Drive the use of tools (including CORE) to improve the F135 business through leadership
Represent the F135 Program with a variety of external customers, domestic and international
Mentor a diverse group of leaders across the F135 enterprise
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Engineering or other Technical Field required
A minimum of 12+ years of Program/Project Management experience is required
At least 6 years of superior leadership and teaming skills including the ability to set a vision, communicate effectively, and influence across the organization is required
Current (preferred) or ability to obtain (required) a US Government security clearance
US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or advanced Business degree preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Demonstrated Project Management skills
Ability to develop and present material to cross-functional teams and upper levels of Program and Engineering Management
Excellent customer relationship skills
