The Military Repair Group provides repair design, program management, tool development, source demonstration, and project engineering support for the full range of Pratt & Whitney military engines.

As a Repair Project Engineer you will be responsible for planning, execution and tracking Military Repair activities both domestically and internationally.  As a member of the GSE Military Engine Project Engineering team, you will work closely with a fully cross functional team, inclusive of design, structures, part family leads, tooling, and validation, to deliver repair capability to our military customers. In this role, you will also collaborate with the Program Management Office, the Military Repair Council, and Tinker repair development teams to identify potential sources and establish/maintain production capability. Repair activity within the group spans the F135, F119 and F100/TF33 programs and the project engineer role has core responsibility for planning, scheduling, and coordination of the repair to the committed timeline.

Key Responsibilities:

Interact with fully cross-functional teams to develop repair plans that meet our quality standards and our customer needs.
Plan and develop Level 3 schedules to successfully execute repair activity to the committed timeline.
Direct task execution to meet schedule and program requirements
Support weekly module level reviews to identify the current status, next steps, risks to schedule and possible corrective actions.
Prepare and present to management and customer repair status meetings, to update progress against plan and commitments.
Create/modify Engineering Standard of Work (ESW) in accordance with latest process requirements.
Coordinate with local management for proper task resource allocation.
Collaborate with Repair Design Engineer (RDE), PFL, Validation, etc. to assure on time task delivery.
10% Travel is Anticipated

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or Technical)
2 years of prior relevant experience required or Master’s Degree and 1 year of relevant experience.
US Citizenship required due to government contracts

 Preferred Qualifications:

Masters in Engineering or other technical field of study
Gas Turbine Hardware and/or manufacturing experience
Demonstrated organization skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience or training in electronic software application development
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Possess excellent judgment and professional maturity
Certified as a Project Management Professional
Excellent Analytical skills
Participation in a process improvement effort
