Job Description:

This position is for a Project Engineering professional working with limited support. Supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets, tracks progress, resolves problems, develops solutions, and forecasts project revenue. Coordinates with other functional organizations. Identifies and addresses project problems, analyzes data gathered, and develops solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines and optimize performance. Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company and have availability to travel up to 10%.

Supports the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.

Tracks progress, identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations.

Supports in the preparation of status and technical content to appropriate stakeholders

Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work.

Work closely with Integrated Product Team (IPT) members and authorities on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements.

Supports Class 1 and Class 2 engineering change execution.

Support hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements.

Evaluate product improvement opportunities and initiate Class 2 engineering change executions for those initiatives

Coordinate evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances and supplier requests for information.

Maintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure that established targets are met.

Support in the execution of risks assessments and mitigation plans.  

Identifies and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.

Support military budget EVMS activities.

Attend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training required.

Actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using CORE Operating System tools and support AS9100 efforts.

Support project management activities.

Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil or Aerospace Engineering.

2+ years of prior experience in Project Management or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Experience with Microsoft Office applications

English fluency (verbal and written)

US Citizenship required due to government contracts

Ability to obtain and maintain US government security clearances

Ability to work onsite full time in a classified environment is required

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project, or other project management tools

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Excellent at promoting teamwork

US DOD Security Clearance preferred, or ability to obtain and maintain one.
