Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with systems, designers, and suppliers to meet program cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
Contribute to systems and hardware architecture trade studies
Develop and manage subsystem and component requirements including Verification and Validation
Ensure hardware technical requirements are properly interpreted and implemented in suppliers’ hardware designs
Support subsystem and hardware test planning, preparation, testing and data analyses during rig, engine, and hardware tests.
Participate in reliability, maintainability, and safety assessments.
Lead / participate in hardware related investigations to drive root cause and implementation of corrective actions

Basic Qualifications:

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Engine Fuel or Hydraulic Control Systems experience in an engineering role (project, design, test, systems, production support, or any or all of the above)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a technical teaming environment
US Citizenship and US Person Status required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Security Clearance is preferred; willing to obtain and maintain
Experience working as an engineer in an aircraft fuel and hydraulic system & components design/development/production/field support environment
Focused on Fuel Systems, including Pumps, Flow Controls, and actuation
Including coordinating supply base engineering activity
Including overseeing controls hardware design and testing
Dynamic Analysis, Control Law development, Working experience with DOORs, MatLab, Simulink, and other System Design and Analysis software tools
Production Operations and Fleet Engineering support of Engine Fuel & Actuation Products
Engineering support of Quality Investigations or Field Issues
Broad understanding of aircraft engine power cycle and what it requires of its Fuel system
Broad understanding in the design of pumps, flow controls, and linear actuators and the electromechanical mechanisms that are used to control their behavior.
