The Contracts Specialist will support the drafting, negotiation, interpretation, and management of proposal and contract documents for the Military Engines Organization. The position will provide the selected candidate with the opportunity to develop customer interaction skills, improve negotiation abilities and gain complex business experience. You will be the primary focal point for external and internal customers regarding contract issues and interpretation of contract requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiates contracts with the U.S. Government (USG) on behalf of the company and ensures the contract document reflects the entire agreement of the Parties. Drafting of contracts between Pratt & Whitney and suppliers of good and services around the world.
Maintain contract files and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contract requirements. Manages contracts from award to contract closeout.
Acts as the primary focal point for external and internal customers regarding contracts matters.
Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues across multiple business functions. Participates in the proposal development process and interacts with various managers within the organization and the USG.
Provide guidance on contracting rights and obligations to mitigate contractual and programmatic risks.
Ability to navigate complex business documents.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required 5+ years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint).
Proven problem-solving skills.
Capable of executing in a fast-paced, high impact/visible environment.
Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
Experience with FAR and DFARS.
Experience with USG Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracts and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) international contract experience is a plus.
Background in US Government contracting, ideally in aerospace.
Must be a self-motivated team player and possess the ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision while handling multiple of high priority projects.

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD – 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
