Summary: Machine Operator 1: ability to operate a variety of production machines.  Machines may include washer, shot peen (GASP – gravity accelerated shot peen), furnace, water & air flow, electrode assembly, laser weld, tack weld, laser ablation, tape & wax, x-ray, bake and detailer, etc.  This position will require performing routine operations.Working on the production line you will produce blades as well as perform all quality checks. These positions require shift work and ability to work overtime when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily standard work and perform complex operations successfully
Read and interpret process sheets
Able to gage, Deburr and clean parts
Make minor offset changes (if required)
Frequently utilize measuring devices and assess product acceptance based on blueprint specification(s)
Clock labor in Solumina
Perform Daily Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and document results
Change set ups and document information on check sheets
Keep dimensional data on run charts
Keep equipment and work area clean (6S)
Adhere to standard work and all work instructions while performing tasks
Maintain acceptable quality levels on routine and/or complex operations
Must be able to run all equipment in the entire work loop and produce product at rate in multiple cells per standard work.
Train other operators to perform work tasks (Level II or III)
The person in this position will frequently move about the machine line to operate various manufacturing equipment (approximately 90% of the time)
Transport product and/or equipment weighing up to 10 pounds
Demonstrate and maintain effective leadership skills
Exhibits consistent skill and positive attitude towards their job while demonstrating the highest degree of quality and productivity
Identify and correct basic to moderately difficult operational issues
Ability to correctly identify the root cause of operating problems

May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills. Responsibilities are not limited to the listed items above and can be changed or modified based on skill level, proficiency, and overall performance.  

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
U.S. Citizen due to government contracts
Previous experience in manufacturing or Associate degree and/or Advanced Manufacturing Certification 
Familiarity with plant tools and equipment
Ability to conduct physical activities such as bending, reaching, pulling, pushing
Ability to work overtime as needed
Must be willing to learn
