Responsibilities
The Senior Linguist Analyst with Peraton Labs will manage the full lifecycle of advanced language exploitation, starting with the curation and collection of country-specific language sources to the dissemination of high-quality analytic production in the furtherance of customer missions. The Senior Linguist Analyst will be expected to: Recruit and lead teams of junior linguist analysts, overseeing their work and mentoring them through the collection and production lifecycles.Organize the collection of publicly available country-specific language source documents, using in-depth subject matter expertise in conjunction with cutting-edge software tools.Collaborate with technical staff to ingest, process, and structure collected data in preparation for analytic exploitation.Exploit collected data to produce high-quality analytical deliverables.Present analytical findings to industry subject matter experts and senior executive audiencesWe are hiring multiple senior linguist analysts in this role. Qualifications
Education/Experience Required:Master’s DegreeAt least 6 years of experience performing analysis using country-specific language skillsAdvanced country-specific language reading skills. Current proficiency can be validated either by standardized testing scores (ILR 2+ for reading) and/or by relevant work experience, writing samples, or referencesCountry-specific subject matter expertise with respect to publicly available informationHighly effective verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), country-specific language aid software (e.g., Wenlin, Pleco)Ability to lead teams of junior linguist-analysts or work individuallyClearance Required: Active Secret Clearance (Top Secret or higher preferred)US Citizenship RequiredWho we’re looking for: Country-specific Subject Matter Experts: We are looking for staff with a strong interest (and ideally a track record) in country-specific research w/ strong linguistic and analytic skills.Generalists: You’ll typically focus your work on the domain(s) of your specialty or preference, but a strong multi-domain awareness and ability is required. You should have a curiosity to learn new technology. Tangible: Your work will not be academic, but support government customers with real missions that are critically important to the national interest. Target Salary Range
$146,000 – $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
