Responsibilities

The Department of Defense has implemented the Skillbridge Intern program to provide Veterans with opportunities to gain “civilian experience” before they actually end their military career. Veterans bring a wealth of experience, discipline and energy, and Peraton understands the significant value of hiring Veterans. The Skillbridge Intern will develop an understanding of how firms operating in the Cyberspace Operations Environment, conceive and develop solutions and technologies to solve client problems. Specifically, each candidate will develop their acumen in the areas of malware reverse engineering and analysis to evaluate and analyze complex malicious code through the use of tools, including dissemblers, debuggers, hex editors, un-packers, virtual machines, and network sniffers. Investigates instances of malicious code to determine attack vector and payload, and to determine the extent of damage and data exfiltration. Provide detailed reports of any findings. Performs research in the area of malicious software, vulnerabilities, and exploitation tactics. Identifies vulnerabilities in binaries, identifies and analyzes shell-code, and recommends preventative or defensive actions.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:BS 0-2 Years or HS 6-8Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in cybersecurityThree (3) years of demonstrated experience with malware analysisTop Secret SCI or Top Secret SCI w/CI Poly based on the program that the SkillBridge Intern will support.

Salary Range
Salary Minimum: $40,000
Salary Mid: $80,000
Salary Maximum: $100,000
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton’s total compensation package for employees.
