The team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as an Acoustics Engineering Manager.
What You’ll get to Do:
With Northrop Grumman, you will play a critical role in the development of products for the United States Navy. You will lead your fellow engineers to solve the toughest challenges in the industry and deliver world-class performance. Your duties may include:
Analyzing product designs to determine predicted vibration and noise levels
Maintaining and advancing state-of-the-art analytical software, modeling and simulation capabilities, tools, and high-performance computational SW and HW
Providing technical, cost and schedule performance oversight of multiple projects, including cost account management (CAM)
Reviewing and approving proposal estimates for new work
Developing and implementing employee career development, knowledge sharing and training plans
Maintaining proper levels of staffing through forecasting and recruiting
Supporting strategic planning
Championing and executing continuous process improvements
An engineering degree with 8 years work experience in a related field, or a Master’s degree in Engineering with 6 years work experience in a related field, or a PHD with 4 years work experience in a related field.
A government secret clearance will be required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
Ability to collaborate in a team environment
Ability to supervise and prioritize multiple projects on schedule and within cost
Ability to analyze data and make decisions that impact the organization’s credibility, operations and services
Ability to develop work products such as detailed reports, work?related manuals, publications, etc.
Ability to present material to those outside the immediate work function, to all levels of the organization, and to a variety of external customers
An engineering degree with 14 years work experience in a related field, or a Master’s degree in Engineering with 12 years work experience in a related field, or a PHD with 10 years work experience in a related field.
Demonstrated leadership experience
A strong background with vibration and noise predictive tools
A strong background with vibration and noise test methods and tools
A familiarity with US Navy vessels or machinery
Salary Range: $147,800 USD – $221,800 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
