Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Business Development Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on Aerospace Structure Business Unit leadership team. This position can be based in either Clearfield, Utah (with up to 50% travel) or be fully be fully virtual (requiring up to 75% travel).

Aerostructures provides composite structures and services in the Commercial, Missiles & Launch and Military markets.  With over 2 million square feet of manufacturing space and over 1800 employees, the Aerospace Structures Business Unit (ASBU) team is recognized as a world leader in composite structures.  The primary focuses of this job will be to develop top end growth for the Launch and Missiles portfolio within the External Military and Launch Market Segment of our business.  You will work directly with the Senior Director of Business Development for ASBU and the Senior Director of ASBU’s Missiles and Launch market segment to develop strategic and customer engagement plans to provide top line growth for the Launch and Missiles portfolio within the business unit. 

You will then become the tip of the spear in implementing that strategy. We are looking for someone with a proven record of success in bringing in new business.  The ability to professionally interact with a variety of people up and down the value stream is important while being able to think strategically in developing strategic capture planning.  You will be required to learn the Business Capture Process, be responsible for the Opportunity Analysis, the Pursuit Strategy, support of the Proposal teams and ultimately you will be measured by capturing new business.  As part of this responsibility, you will also lead a Commercial Business Strategy Team (BST) to integrate and coordinate the efforts of all functions involved in the identification, targeting and capture of new military business.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years’ experience in the Missiles and Launch market, Business Development or closely related field or a Master’s degree with 7+ years’ experience
Candidates must have experience working with industry consultants and leading and directing marketing representatives located domestically and abroad.
Candidates must have knowledge and demonstrated track record in identifying and developing Launch and Missiles markets, new business wins, and new business growth within Aerospace Structures markets, and most importantly advance composites structures knowledge
Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance
Must be able/willing to travel up to 75% if virtual/remote OR 50% if based in Clearfield, Utah
Must be able to travel Internationally under current COVID restrictions and beyond (e.g. must be able to obtain a passport and VISA if required; must have appropriate vaccinations to enter and conduct business Internationally without excessive quarantine)

Preferred Qualifications

BS degree. MS/MBA is desirable. 
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Business Development/Marketing or related roles. 
Candidates must have demonstrated professional management experience and skills.
Results oriented, winner mentality.
Demonstrated experience in effective and successful negotiations.
Salesforce knowledge and execution

This position reports to Clearfield, UT, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Unknown City, UT, UT, USA.

Salary Range: $134,200 USD – $211,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
