Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Business Process Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Accounting Organization and report to Business Integration System Manager.
This position may be worked onsite in Linthicum, MD, Fair Lakes, VA, or as a fully REMOTE position.
The Business Process Analyst is responsible for providing billing process management within the Mission Systems Sector Accounting organization including participation on various functional User Groups and coordination with Corporate Business Operations and Services (also known as Enterprise Services).
The work scope includes, but is not limited to:
Updates to SAP SD billing process (enhancing Corporate Business Operations and Services maintained configuration and master data)
Participating in the maintenance of SD master data related to DIP changes, Billing Rate updates, Cost Element Group updates, Output Formats and SETID creation/maintenance
Participating in providing guidance regarding FAR clause implementation as related to billing
Supporting audit and data requests
Assist the Accounting team in developing efficiencies in its business processes ‘
Research of financial postings affecting Accounting performance and Accounting’s ability to produce a timely & accurate invoice to the customer
Participation in non-recurring projects representing the interest of the billing organization
Serving as a conduit between Sector billing, other functional areas, and other sector’s billing organizations, Corporate Business Operations and Services.
This position may be filled at either the Principal or the Senior Principal Level based on the qualifications below:
Basic Qualifications for a Principal:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years related experience or a Master’s degree with 4 years of related experience
Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years related experience or a Master’s degree with 8 years of related experience
Additional Basic Qualifications for a both levels:
Knowledge of the SAP SD module and understanding of the billing process and invoicing to DoD, Commercial, Federal, Civil agencies, and International Customers
Prior experience advising and interacting with senior management
Working knowledge of disclosed practices and how changes to those practices might impact Accounting
Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
Ability to develop creative solutions within the SAP system to meet the requirements of a diverse customer base
Demonstrated process improvement using a disciplined approach
Prior experience developing and delivering training on a variety of Billing related issues.
Experience performing financial analysis
Salary Range: $86,300 USD – $142,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $107,000 USD – $176,500 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
